Viewsonic Optiquest Q241wb
$499.00
Released November, 2007
The Pros:LCD design provides sharp, vivid imagery - widely preferred to TN-type competitors at a similar price point that suffer from off-axis coloration issues. Includes a dedicated audio output cable - excellent feature for users with an existing speaker system to be used in conjunction with the monitor. DVI/VGA connectivity options cater to a wide variety of computer users - included VGA cable offers instant "plug-and-play" access.
The Cons:Stand component is fairly cheap - flimsy plastic design and tilt-only capability showcase lower quality. Unit lacks a dedicated backlight control - brightness and contrast adjustment only affects LCD response, resulting in loss of color resolution in low-light environments. Inner bezel reflect adjacent imagery - can be very distracting to the user, especially when the cursor is near the edge of the screen.
The Viewsonic Optiquest Q241wb is a 24" widescreen LCD monitor with integrated speakers. For more information, please see the Viewsonic Optiquest Series report.

Built-in speakers are of very poor quality - users hoping to listen to music or enjoy TV/movie audio will find the component virtually useless
