The Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD is a 27" widescreen LCD monitor and is an upgrade to the P2570HD. The monitor features a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and includes a built-in HDTV tuner, making it suitable for use both as an HDTV or PC monitor.

It is designed with a Samsung's Touch of Color for a glossy black bezel with a rose hue and offers a 5ms response time and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1. The Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD features Samsung's MagicBright technology which optimizes brightness, contrast, and gamma settings of the screen to suit the task. It includes integrated 3-watt stereo speakers along with Dolby Digital Plus technology and SRS TruSurround HD. The monitor also offers HDMI connectivity as well as DVI-D with HDCP, composite, and component inputs. The Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD is Energy Star compliant and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

It only has one digital input. You can't switch between sources as there is no other source. You'll need a good KVM to do that.

#samsung_syncmaster_p2770hd From what I can gather, it can properly display 24p over HDMI, but not DVI. More research is needed, but if no refute can be found against this Monitor/TV hybrid displaying 1080/24p, then this is a good monitor/tv hybrid, ideal for movie watching.

#samsung_syncmaster_p2770hd I have yet to find or use the HDTV or speakers.
For me it is new out of the box today. It was very easy to set up and ties in nicely. It has a 70,000:1 contrast ratio and that means the black is very black. I picked this up at Costco for $349. I'm pretty impressed with it so far. The optimal resolution is 1920x1080 so make sure your video goes that high.
