Samsung SyncMaster F2380MX
$375.00
Released May, 2010
The Pros:Beautifully designed thin bezel and stand. CPVA panel - much better viewing angles, contrast, colour quality, etc... over a cheaper TN based display. Nice white colour.
The Cons:16:9 aspect ratio is not as good as 16:10 - loss of vertical pixels isn't great for everyday tasks like browsing the internet, productivity applications. Doesn't come in black. The previous generation cPVA based F2380 suffered from many problems - 'black crush' (loss of low level black details), extremely high response times, etc...
The Samsung SyncMaster F2380MX is a higher-end 23" monitor targeting professional users. Using Samsung's new cPVA panel technology, it is most notable for its high real contrast ratio of 3000:1. The monitor features a 1920x1080 resolution, HDMI and DVI inputs, and good viewing angles.

Two 3W speakers are built in, and the monitor is height- and swivel-adjustable. The F2370H, also scheduled for release in mid-2010, targets mainstream consumers and lacks the F2380MX's adjustability options.
