Samsung SyncMaster 743BX
$179.00
Released January, 2008
The Pros:Great option for a basic secondary monitor. Stand design allows for a high degree of movement. Comes included with VGA and DVI cables rather than just a VGA cable as is often seen.
The Cons:Button layout isn't the most logical, makes menu navigation a bit awkward. Touch-sensitive buttons are hard to see in dim light.

Its frame and stand are slim and are supposed to allow the monitor to fit almost anywhere, and the four-way adjustment allows for customizable and, ideally, ergonomic viewing. It also has an automatic-off timer, and image adjustment for landscape or portrait viewing. Its connectors are 15-pin D-sub and DVI-D.
