Samsung SyncMaster 2253LW

$350.00 Released October, 2005

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Unit is sleek and stylish - glossy Piano Black finish showcases modern aesthetics similar to many high-end products. Picture quality is crisp, bright and clear - 8000:1 contrast ratio ensures deep black levels and bold separation between hues. Customizable refresh rate provides versatile functionality options - 2ms "Overdrive" option virtually eliminates ghosting/artifact problems.

The Cons:Included plastic stand feels somewhat cheap/flimsy - component tends to wobble and doesn't establish a firm, sturdy base. Unit-mounted hard buttons are awkwardly placed - underside placement makes them difficult to see, resulting in frustrating manual control. Backlight bleeding is a considerably large problem - top and bottom areas of the display appear "washed out", significantly affecting widescreen movies and dark imagery in general.
