HP w2007
$180.00
Released January, 2007
The Pros:HDCP compatibility not usually found at this price point. Very high quality overall image at this price, and compared to competing models. Stylish and unique aesthetic with shiny silver rounded base and sides.
The Cons:HD movie playback produces washed out colours. Packaged software is unintuitive and sometimes changes do not seem to have any noticeable effect. Only limited one-year warranty compared to more common 3-year ones from competitors.

This design makes the w2007 ideal for multimedia, including viewing video, photo editing and gaming. The contrast ratio is rated at 1000:1, meaning users will see distinct blacks and whites along with its 5-millisecond response time, which alleviates blurring with fast moving imagery. This monitor can display both digital and analog content using the DVI-D (with HDCP) or VGA port, respectively. Other features include two 2-watt integrated speakers and low energy usage with Energy Star compliance. Users looking for a smaller or larger screen should look at the other monitors in the series; the w1907 or the w2207h.
