HP LP3065

$1,349.00 Released April, 2004

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Color accuracy good enough for professional media work and photographers. Can connect to multiple systems out of the box without the use of a KVM switch. Non-glossy screen resists glare, allows work in environments that have windows.

The Cons:Generates a fair amount of heat. Limited amount of fine tuning available through the controls. Colors are over-saturated out of the box, need to be adjusted.

The HP LP3065 is a 30'' LCD display, HP's late addition to the 30'' monitor market. Targeted at professional graphic artists who need such a large monitor, the HP LP3065 comes with many features that make it a better option than other 30'' monitors.

The 2560 x 1600  and fast response time will enthrall serious gamers who have a suitable video card, and the wide viewing angle (178/178 degrees), along with 92% color gamut, makes for a great cinema experience. Another advantage of the HP LP3065 is its three dual-link DVI inputs, each capable of supporting HDCP. This lets you hook up 3 PC's to the monitor. However, the HP LP3065 lacks an HDMI connection, and the only display option you can change is screen brightness, not color or contrast. A dual-link DVI graphics card is required for this monitor.

Features:

  • 30'' display

  • 16:10 display ratio
  • 2560 x 1600 resolution, full HD
  • 178/178 degrees viewing angles
  • 4 USB 2.0 ports
  • On-screen controls: Brightness, input selection
