HP LE2201w
$200.00
Released June, 2009
The Pros:Affordable price. 16:10 aspect ratio - the best balance between widescreen and full screen. Slick business aesthetic - tray base, matte bezel and stand.
The Cons:Not 1080p. No DVI / HDMI digital input - only analog VGA. TN panel - affordable to produce / sell at the expense of viewing angles, colour depth.
The LE2201w, a 22" LCD monitor, is the largest model in HP's 'Essential' line of entry-level business displays and the successor to the mostly identical L2208w. The widescreen panel is designed for office users who require a large work area but not a high-end feature set.

Like its predecessor, the LE2201w features a 1680x1050 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 5ms response time, but the new model is not as bright. The monitor is tilt-adjustable, but somewhat limited by 160-degree viewing angles. It is also relatively energy-efficient, an important consideration for large businesses, qualifying for Energy Star.
