HP 2159m
$240.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Full HD 1080p resolution with an HDMI connection, works great with all kinds of devices not just a computer. Responsive enough for fast-paced gaming. Provides a sharp picture whether using VGA, DVI or HDMI - no weak spots.
The Cons:Integrated speakers are tinny and don't have much volume, a bit of a waste. Glossy screen is a bit reflective, notice movement behind you as you work. Dark areas tend to blend into one large black area, noticeable loss of detail.
The HP 2159m is a 21.5-inch Diagonal 16:9 Full HD Widescreen Monitor released by HP in 2009. It is similar to the 20" HP 2009m save for a wider screen size and better contrast ratio.

It has a 16:9 aspect ratio which makes it deal for viewing movies in their original formats. The display can be optimized for movies, photos, or games with the Quick View mode. It has a 1920 x 1080p maximum resolution, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio (contrast ratio measures the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) of the screen to that of the darkest color on the screen (black) that the system is capable of producing). Glare that has been usually seen on recent glossy screens is reduced in this system using the HP BrightView technology). Both digital and analog content can be displayed using DVI-D with HDMI HDCP and VGA connectivity. With a 5 ms on/off response time, blur can be reduced while watching sports, action movies and games.
