The Asus VH242H is a 23.6" widescreen LCD monitor from Asus' VH Series for 2008 and is an upgrade to the VH232H. The monitor features a native resolution of 1080p and a high contrast ratio of 20,000:1.

It offers a 16:9 aspect ratio for undistorted widescreen graphics and has a 5ms response time making it suitable for applications such as gaming. The VH242H utilizes ASCR and Splended Video Intelligence technologies for automatic color and contrast adjustment to provide optimal image quality. The monitor is designed with a tilting screen, built-in 2-Watt stereo speakers, and includes VGA, D-Sub and DVI connectors. It also has an HDMI input allowing connection to game consoles and blu-ray players for high definition graphics. The VH242H is environmentally friendly, manufactured according to GreenASUS standards and is Energy Star qualified. The monitor is wall-mountable and comes with a 3 year limited warranty.
