The Asus VH196 is a 19" widescreen LCD monitor from Asus' 2009 series of environmentally friendly monitors. The monitor features a 1440 x 900 resolution, 5ms response time, and a 5000:1 contrast ratio with ASCR technology which automatically adjusts the backlight luminance to the optimal level.

It utilizes only two lamps making it 20% more energy efficient than other monitors and has a color-shine panel to reduce glare and provide vibrant images. The VH196 offers aspect control technology for 4:3 or full screen display as well as Splendid Video Intelligence technology which automatically optimizes the image quality depending on the type of media. It includes built-in hidden 1-watt stereo speakers and a DVI input with HDCP support. The monitor comes with a 3 year limited warranty.
